S.I.P.S. (Structural Insulated Panel Construction)

Structural Insulated Panel ConstructionS.I.P.S. can help minimize labor costs and turn around time due to easy on site assembly. When comparing a SIPS home to a conventional home, SIPS take approximately 40% to 70% less time to build than a stick or block home.

The panels are pre-engineered, pre-cut, pre-drilled and numbered for quick installation. Sips insulating value up to R-60 providing drastic savings in electrical bills from 30% to 70% and can withstand wind load lab tested up to 200 MPH by creating a continuous load path from the foundation to the roof. Standard fastening system has passed all the Miami-Dade requirements. Miami-Dade code: GSI's panels are built with flame resistant fiber cement or Titan XL, which act as a vapor barrier on both sides of the panels eliminating any moisture flow. The insulation also stops heat transfer through the SIPS panels. The exterior surface while exposed to the humid air and outdoor elements do not get below the dew point as the interior air remains cool. SIPS create a healthier indoor air quality and environment free of mold, mildew, and other pollutants for the building occupants. SIPS promote Environmentally Friendly Construction by minimizing the use of dimensional lumber and the panels is an efficient use of timber without waste. The high insulating value and continuous building envelope maximizes the energy efficiency of the structure. SIPS expanded polystyrene in the panel core uses no CFC's or HCFC's in manufacturing. On site construction waste is eliminated as each SIPS panel is manufactured off site prior to construction and ready for installation and excess waste created during the manufacturing process is then recycled with zero waste.

Durability

Superior Performance and of course Durability. Miami-Dade code: GSI Building Systems are designed to last 10 to 12 times longer than traditional buildings and homes. The panels withstand wind load, lab tested up to 200 MPH, by creating a continuous load path from the foundation to the roof. Standard fastening system has passed all the Miami-Dade requirements. Construction Time

Sips can help minimize labor costs and Turn Around time due to easy on site assembly reducing cost of labor and time. When comparing a SIPS home takes to a conventional home SIPS take approximately 40% to 70% less time to build than a stick or block home. Insulation Values

Sips built in Foam has an insulating value up to R-60 providing drastic savings in electrical bills from 30% to 70%. Once all panels are tied in and integrated you have little to no Thermal Bridging which will help regulate the interior controlled temperature.

Construction Waste

All SIPS panels are made in a controlled environment which all but eliminates the amount of waste generated in the fabrication of the entire shell. The positive impact this creates is typically around 30 yards less trash for a typical jobsite depending upon the overall square footage this volume of waste could reach an excess 60 yards (2 Full Dumpster truck loads) creating a positive impact on our environment.
